Our Approach to Creativity

Just like the color wheel goes round and round with its infinite number of tones and shades of color, 1127gd approach to creativity is without boundaries.

1127gd’s consultation stage consists of a series of creativity exercises held between our creative team and the client (the “Believer”). Whether the client comes to the creative table with a hodgepodge of ideas or with a blank slate, we actively engage the client in exercises that gather information about the particular business or venture, analyze the niche, audience or clientele and test multiple styles of character and identity for the brand. With respect to the latter, as we embark on our creative process, we like to say we conduct a “Brand IQ test.”

1127gd’s creative process then begins.

An IQ test is a tool designed to conduct an intelligence assessment. An IQ score is assigned as a result of testing of many aspects of intelligence. At 1127 Graphic Design, the creative process consists of the conception of ideas, followed by an interpretation of these creative concepts which result in brand development. The brands that the creative process gives rise to, are then evaluated according to multiple factors that we call scales.

Whatever the challenge, the creative team at 1127 Graphic Design will tackle it with our creative thinking caps.

  • The Appeal Scale analyzes a brand’s potential reception in commerce;
  • The Innovation Scale addresses the creative tone of the brand;
  • The Identity Scale encompasses how well the brand matches up to the character of the client’s business or venture; and finally,
  • The “Believer” scale takes into account our client’s business and creative design perspectives and general marketing engine of the business or venture

Taking all of these factors into account, and led by the principle of collaboration between our creative team and our Believers, we then assign an IQ score to each brand conceived in the creative process. The one with the highest “Brand IQ” becomes our focus. 1127 Graphic Design develops that brand from conception to launch, and even to expansion, all the while ensuring our work product creates the most impact on your business or venture’s marketing efforts. The work product that follows, whether it is a completely new logo that highlights your business or venture’s products and/or services or an updated website matching a new branding concept, adheres to the theme of the brand and to your business and commercial philosophy.

What Clients Say

We decided to re-design our website in September with a launch date of December 1st – an ambitious timeframe! Wolffang was incredibly easy to work with – from the initial phone call regarding the project steps and the beginning review of design ideas to the final edits and the finishing touches. As a non-technical person, I appreciate his explanations and suggestions on how to best format the page (e.g. google searches, placement of links and how to set up the how site). His attention to detail on the design and commitment to meeting our deadlines was wonderful. We love our final product and it seems our clients do too!

I’d like to thank you for the redesign of our website. You did a wonderful job creating a professional, updated look while still capturing our rustic landscape, educational fun and the excitement of our programs. I really appreciated your flexibility, availability for questions, affordability and efficiency on our project.
Morgan Riggs, Sheridan Mountain Campus
1127 Graphic Design collaborated on the redesign of a website for a Federal government client. He quickly grasped the general requirements and created prototypes for review. His work with the site design and graphics was exceptional. He adapted the design quickly based on feedback and suggested modifications that greatly improved the finished product. His work demonstrated through understanding of web design tools and techniques and he is exceptionally skilled in graphics design. He completed the work ahead of schedule and within the overall cost estimate. I was very satisfied with the final results.
